Jaya Pelupessy’s work focuses on researching reproduction processes. Pelupessy uses photography to investigate the medium’s status. The processes that lead to autonomous images are central to his work; an exploration of to what extent the process itself and the visibility of that process strengthens, invalidates, or delivers new autonomous images. Countless ‘loops’ emerge within his own work, within which reproductions are again reproduced.
