After over ten years of bringing artists together, this edition looks both back at our roots and forward, towards new collaborations. With 44 emerging and established artists showing new work in solo presentations and an extensive public programme, UNFAIR26 is where artists, professionals and enthusiasts meet to discover, connect and collect.

We are proud to introduce Dear books, the newest art book fair in Amsterdam, where printed matter, artistic practice, and community come together. Dear books, is an initiative created by Unfair Amsterdam in collaboration with booklovers Floor Kortman (Pleasant Place) and Hugo Rocci (Terry Bleu). United by a shared belief in the power of print and the conversations, connections and communities that grow around it, Dear books, creates a space where independent publishing and contemporary art meet.
In a dedicated space Dear books, showcases the work of 60 publishers and independent art book makers from around the world, also including artists of UNFAIR26 and previous years. Selected through an open call, these publishers, artists and collectives present their art books and related printed projects.

At Editions, we believe that buying art should be easy, affordable, and accessible for everyone. For UNFAIR26, we are excited to be showing works from over 40 talented artists, all produced in limited editions or series.
Our selection of editions represents the best of the artists we’ve worked with over the past decade. For the first time ever, we have opened up our selection through a public open call to Netherlands-based artists, expanding the programme with new voices and perspectives.
The result is a carefully curated selection of artworks spanning a range of media, from prints and paintings to ceramics, textiles and much more. With prices ranging from €5 to €950, we offer options to suit various budgets, while maintaining our commitment to quality and accessibility in the art world.
Whether you’re a first-time buyer looking for an affordable piece to start your art collection, or a seasoned collector looking to expand it, you’ll discover something special at Editions.
Keep an eye on this page for an update on participating artists and a sneak peek of our collection!
Throughout UNFAIR26, we will present an exciting programme of talks and performances from our participating artists and cultural partners. Each day will feature a series of engaging talks and intimate performances in a specially designed space within UNFAIR26.
Every single one of the talks or performances is unique, so don’t miss your one-time chance to witness or engage directly with our artists and invited guests.
Find a sneak peek of the first talks programme below, full schedule of talks and performances coming soon to this page!
The Unfair Game of Interview Roulette
In our live edition of Interview Roulette, pairs of artists will be randomly matched together to answer each other’s questions about the ins and outs of their artistic life & practice.
Interview Roulette is the perfect chance to get to know some of the exhibiting artists better as they answer a series of questions from fellow creatives. The catch? The questions are fished out of a bowl, the answers come on the spot, and the identity of the person who initially came up with the question remains a secret.
In collaboration with The Collectors Circle, we offer free guided tours of UNFAIR26. Visitors will get a chance to delve deeper into the artistic process and inspiration behind our artists’ presentations, explore UNFAIR26’s exhibition space designed by Studio Verter, and immerse themselves in our extensive public programming.

Artist Fund
The Artist Fund is a circular monetary fund that supports artists in the development of their presentation at UNFAIR26. With the Artist Fund, we are proud to be the first and probably only art fair to pay participants to take part in our program.
The idea is simple. Artists get an incentive to develop work for our fair from the fund. When their work is then sold, the artists donate a percentage of their sales to the fund, of which next year’s participating artists will be able to create new work. This pay-it-forward method encourages the creation of a support-network between artists of all ages and disciplines, and paves the way for the next generation of creators. Sponsors also contribute to the Artist Fund.
For UNFAIR26 the Artist Fund was generously supported by our sponsor Kees de Boekhouder.
Kees de Boekhouder is the modern co-pilot for freelancers and small business owners. With a hybrid approach – the perfect blend of a personal accountant and an intuitive platform – they cut through the administrative noise. They provide a rock-solid foundation and a clear grasp of your figures, giving you the peace of mind and freedom to really focus on running your business.
For over ten years, Unfair has provided a platform for young talent. This edition, we’re looking back at our roots and forward to new collaborations, new voices, and a new generation of organizations in the Dutch cultural landscape. That’s why we’re pleased to be collaborating this year with a number of partners who, like Unfair, are committed to showcasing emerging talent.
Inversie supports talented emerging visual artists who graduated between two and five years ago — and who have a connection to Brabant — in the transition from art academy to a versatile professional practice. The strength of Inversie lies in its personal guidance, group connection, and critical reflection, helping to build confidence through workshops, residencies, presentations, and expert meetings. Within the programme, Inversie collaborates with a wide range of partners from the Brabant art field, such as Het Noordbrabants Museum, Ruby Soho en Van Abbemuseum.
During UNFAIR26, the artists of the fifth edition will show their newest work.

The Prince Claus Fund champions artistic freedom by empowering independent and experimental artists worldwide. Their support is grounded in trust and long-term commitment to their community – from emerging talents finding their voice to established creators whose work resonates across borders and beyond art-market trends.
At UNFAIR26, they will present work by two artists from their global network: Gvantsa Jishkariani and Aiganym Mukhamejan. Both make work rooted in contested histories, the politics of the body, and the resilience of cultural memory. Their presentation is part of Exchanges, Prins Claus Fund’s programme connecting international artistic practices with Amsterdam’s cultural field. Exchanges is made possible through the generous support of the City of Amsterdam.

During UNFAIR26, SEXYLAND opens their famous Art Bar: a bar for anyone who’s stuck on an idea, wants to talk about art, or is interested in buying a work. The bartenders at Art Bar create an informal and approachable setting where you can ask questions or strike up a conversation. No stage, no Q&A, no barriers, just the bar.
Participating artists of UNFAIR26 take turns behind the Art Bar SEXYLAND. Not because they’re great bartenders, but to start a conversation. Art Bar SEXYLAND offers emerging and established artists a safe space to exchange knowledge, share doubts, and gain new perspectives. The motto is: “Bad bartenders, great ideas.” Come and find the Art Bar at UNFAIR26!
OSCAM is a museum for art, fashion, design, craftsmanship and development in Amsterdam Zuidoost. Started in 2017 as a pop-up museum, OSCAM has grown into a permanent cultural space creating a future where creativity is a shared right. At the heart of this mission is Young OSCAM Art Kitchen (YOAK), an exhibition space where emerging makers present their work and develop their professional practice.
During UNFAIR26, OSCAM celebrates five years of YOAK, bringing together a selection of YOAK alumni to highlight the program’s impact over the years.

Outsider Art Studios supports artists in building a broader platform for their work. Through sales, loans, collaborative projects and commissioned work, the gallery team contributes to raising the profile of talent from its studio. In addition, the gallery organises exhibitions and public programming that focus on art interventions in healthcare, allowing visitors to experience how art and culture can contribute to improving mental and physical health.
All of this is made possible through the Art and Care Programme of healthcare organisation Cordaan, in collaboration with a wide range of partners from the cultural sector. Together they ensure the right people are in the right place, where their knowledge and talent can be fully utilised.
At UNFAIR26, Outsider Art Studios will present work of three talented artists.

Het resort is a site-specific art space located in Groningen, organizing residencies and other programs for contemporary artists at uncanny locations. This year, around the theme of I <3 hobbies, het resort explores the world behind leisure activities, focusing on the globally popular practice of diamond painting. In *rhinestone renaissance*, het resort investigates how art, reproduction, and hobby culture intersect. Well-known images and artworks circulate in endless variations as diamond painting kits, while at the same time a new form of attention emerges: slow, focused, and repetitive image-making, one tiny stone at a time.
Three artists are invited by het resort to develop new work around this theme. These works will be translated into diamond painting kits and produced in edition. This way, the artwork shifts from a unique object into a shared, reproducible experience. The results of *rhinestone renaissance* are presented and sold at UNFAIR26.
