Nadie Borggreve creates tufted landscapes in which nature and imagination merge. Her work grows from a deep fascination with chance encounters in the natural world and from a cyclical way of thinking in which nature functions both as a material source and as the origin of her dreamlike imagery. Her works emerge from an intuitive process of collecting, unraveling and re-dyeing discarded textiles and worn garments. By taking materials apart and rebuilding them she gives them new life through labor, color and time, allowing reused fibers that carry traces of previous lives to become part of an ongoing cycle of transformation.

Through her distinctive hand dyeing processes wool gains an intense, almost luminous quality that contrasts with the material’s physical weight when tufted. Different techniques come together within her works, including hand-dyed yarns, oil pastels and airbrush, creating a layered tension between tactile material presence and atmospheric image. Forests, flowers, night skies and reflections on water appear as fragmented landscapes shaped by perception and memory. Her compositions often resemble stained glass or illuminated windows where wool seems to capture light and open into deep, immersive spaces.
