Bonnie Ogilvie is an interdisciplinary visual artist based in Amsterdam. She works with textiles, metal, imagery, text, and found materials, bringing them together in layered composition.

Ogilvie’s work is driven by a curiosity about how objects and tools can carry meaning and translate ancient myths and historical structures into a contemporary visual language. Through repetition, layering, and pattern, she allows different elements to overlap, interact, and create new connections.

Her work carries a rebellious edge, which becomes visible in the use of tartan. Words begin to take on shapes, while individual objects grow into larger sculptural forms, each developing their own visual language.

This interplay between language, image, and object lies at the centre of Ogilvie’s practice.
