Tina Farifteh
Tina Farifteh is a photographer and filmmaker interested in the impact made by man-made power structures, such as companies, governments, and nation states, as well as the production and consumption of images. Through her work, Farifteh explores how these structures and images influence our thoughts, emotions and behaviors, while dissecting right-wing, populist rhetoric and how it dehumanizes refugees. Through the investigation of human capacity and limits for empathy, she explores themes such as displacement, detachment and assimilation, loss and longing for a home.
