Neo Matloga (1993) was born in Mamaila, South Africa, and is currently based in both Mamaila and Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He has been an artist-in-residence at de Ateliers Amsterdam and AVL Mundo Rotterdam. Matloga’s work has been exhibited in both solo and group shows around the world in art spaces such as Stevenson Gallery Cape Town, Fries Museum Leeuwarden and during the SCOPE Art Fair in New York. In 2018 Matloga was awarded the prestigious Royal Award for Modern Painting at the Royal Palace Amsterdam. His work has been featured in collections of the​ Zeitz MOCAA – Museum of Contemporary Art Africa and the Thami Mnyele Foundation.
