Nazif Lopulissa
Lopulissa’s work takes viewers back to the carefree nature of being young, to a time when all possibilities are still open. This applies both to the work itself and to the way in which it is created. The artist tries to redefine his practice in a playful way, through form and materiality, by exploring connections between application, intention, design and form and how they lead to meaning. In addition to layering and texture, contrasts are essential in his practice: constraints define the meaning of freedom, just as the carefreeness of youth is only felt when you get older.
