Background
Anne Geene (1983) is a visual artist, living and working in The Hague. She graduated in 2006 from the Erasmus University Rotterdam where she studied Art and cultural Studies. After that she studied photography at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, finished the AKV St. Joost and got her Master’s degree in Photographic Studies at Leiden University. Among other awards she has won the ING Unseen Talent Award in 2014 and in 2018 she won De Volkskrant Beeldende Kunstprijs. Her work is part of the collections of among others Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, Ministry of education, Culture and Science and the Dutch Museum for Photography in Rotterdam.
