Ken Stoové documents places he knows best, places he considers closest to home and communities in which he finds comfort. By focusing on personal stories within his family, he explores the shifting geographies of migration and resettlement.
Interested in how these layered histories manifest in subtle details of our everyday lives; in gestures, objects, interiors, and inherited belongings. His photographs primarily depict family members, physical inheritances, cherished objects, and friends. Together, they form a quiet yet deliberate mapping of identity, a literal and emotional representation of origin, memory, and belonging.
