Anna Phaidra
Anna Phaidra is an interdisciplinary artist whose work centers on sculpture, illustration, and installation. By blending together histories, folklore, and cultural-ecology, she explores how modern magical realism lends meaning to contemporary societies. Her artistic research examines the blurry spaces between the human and non-human, as she considers the relations between symbols and spaces such as the house, plants, crystals, television and more. The artist seeks to create intimate spaces that embrace the tension between reality and unreality, while exploring the mythologies of the everyday and their role in understanding life in the Anthropocene age.
