Bruin Parry
From a very young age, Bruin Parry has been engaged in creating visual art, whether it be drawings, paintings, photography, design, dance, modelling or performance. For his performances, he often switches to his alter-ego, Bruin Jackson. He collaborates closely with the artist Jan Hoek, who he has known his whole life; together, they created a carpet and an underwear line. Parry’s works always contain an intrinsic recognizable quality, whether they are geometric black and white drawings, paintings, photographs, performances or collaborations.
Background
Bruin Parry (1999) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Amsterdam. His work was shown at Outsiderwear Festival and published in the American Vogue, VICE Magazine, Het Parool, and De Volkskrant. In 2020 his work was shown at the Stedelijk Museum Breda, in the exhibition Power To The Models. As a dancer, Parry performed in the video for the song Fading by artist and producer Lyma.
