Kateřina Konarovská
In her practice, Kateřina Konarovská smuggles human tales told through paintings into a wide array of related media such as tapestry, murals, glazed tiles, textile prints and video performances. Konarovská aims to remind all of us of the place where the inner and outer world merge together and unite, in all their positive or negative polarities. She asks of her public to open up their perception while she simultaneously infects them with new idea. Using ‘innocent’ shapes that we tend to trust undoubtedly, she gets inside our mind Trojan horse style, and rearranges it. Her work consists of colorful home or scenic installations that allow the viewer to step into the present moment.
